This year i have been lucky and honored to serve as the president of the student ambassadors. this year is a year of many firsts, one being, global and community outreach. until friday october 30th, we are taking orders for TOMS SHOES and hosting a STYLE YOUR SOLE event on november 15th on campus. for all of you in the area, this is a great opportunity to buy a pair of shoes for yourself with another pair being donated to a child in need. ONE FOR ONE and hopefully one day ONE FOR ALL...
PS. These shoes are soooo comfy and saved my feet in Prague walking on all the ancient cobblestone streets and are easy to clean and go with everything!!!

The Windy City and Finding A Future
This past weekend my friends and i took a drive to Chicago. This was my first visit since i was an infant and I had a life changing visit for the whole 11 hours I walked around the city in the rain and wind with my comrades. Up until recently, the plan has always been get back to the coast as soon as possible, but i always assumed this "coast" would be SoCal, not the coast of one of the great lakes. I found that there is a Waldorf Teacher Training program in the city and a school in which i could teach while completing my training, not to mention that the entire city is flatter than San Francisco, has better public transportation than LA, and is friendlier than NY. My feet were sore but my soul (sole) was healed and is eagerly ready to be planning this big adventure in the next two years.

Again...Long Leave of Absence
My apologies to my lack of blog readers,
I have been in Prague for the last month working on two of my crafts, writing and photography, and enjoying the wonders of this Bohemian land. I have made friends with a yoga instructor, who i think is pretty spectacular, been hiking at ancient sandstone formations that were once covered by ocean, walked in castles and on cobblestone streets that were vast and plentiful. the castle hill at night ha been the most spectacular thing i can imagine. just seeing it from the new town is like looking into a story book. i adopted a book of czech fairy tales and have decided when i get back to school to try my hand at writing a children's tale and getting more serious about being published and finding a waldorf teacher training school that i like. i will post some of my final photo portfolio from the month. i will post more reflections later...i promise...how much later...could be a bit...

Thursday Before Departure

Hi Friends,
yesterday was wonderful. I hit up stamper for breakfast with Rachel and we walked to the post office. on our way to the post office we walked down this perfect little street that was nearly tropical, which was fitting since it is humid again in Como town. I took my bike downtown and moseyed around and bumped into J.Starr and joined her on a walk with Toby and Jack. We transported the window garden to her place. Tear. it will have a loving home fostered by writers and intellectuals, at least there's that. She and I continued to hang out on her porch as her cat, Ranger, was being fierce and cute as hell. We went downtown and moseyed. I got some crazy rose colored glasses that i am excited about and a bug necklace that will probably be my new favorite thing. Johnathan met up with us to see Sunshine Cleaning at Ragtag Cinema Cafe. It was a great little film. after the movie J-Hi and I walked around downtown and took a detour to hang on the roof of Mizzou's Ellis Library. We were walking to J.Starr's pad and this storm broke free from the sky. the thunder and lightning were crazy!!!!! what a fun night, truly stellar* I am going to start packing and am heading to Jeff City for a hair cut.
Peace

Long Time, No Blog
Hello Blogoverse,
It has been a few months since my last update, but what can i say, things got hectic.
Since my leave of blogging, i have applied and been accepted with a scholarship to the Prague Summer Program through Western Michigan University, for my photography and creative writing. I volunteered at the True/False Film Festival and saw a lot of great documentaries. two of my favorites being No Impact Man, and Waltz With Bashir. I have befriended a House of awesome guys down the street and finally have a more chill crowd that what i can find at my uber tiny women's college, no offense ladies of Stephens. My piano has improved quite a bit and i have a full 30 minute ish set of both covers and original songs. the covers i have chosen a a bit more obscure and i have been asked if i have written them....i wish. I am planning out my concert schedule for the summer and i am so far going to see ben kweller, trevor hall (a few times), matisyahu...among others. Topanga Days is creeping up and i think it is pulling me through my final exams. Speaking of finals, i should be studying right now...not blogging, and i have developed cool new ways to procrastinate (Henna Tattoos, walking my friend's dogs, finding things to clean, walking down town for hours, and hanging with kiely and the guys). My friend Jessica Starr's dogs Toby and Jack are probably the coolest dogs around and toby has one blue eye. I am getting kind of sad about going home. i really have a life here and it isn't just school. I have found my crowd and my haunts and know town people by name, so comfortable. Also, the window garden i planted is getting huge!!!!!!
This summer, i have a goal to finally get in great shape. As many of you know this has been a long and grueling process and i have progressed more than ever this past year. I have been doing cardio for 45 minutes 4-5 days a week, bicycling for 30 minutes a few times a week as well, and doing push ups, crunches, and low impact weights. I am following a mostly vegetarian diet, but i occasionally make exceptions for sushi and chicken. i will be working out with my mom and her trainer and riding my horses and really doing what makes me happiest, which is being very active and sweaty...the sweat doesn't really make me happy but it is a good indicator that i am working myself!
So recap: Finals suck, Columbia Missouri is probably the coolest town ever, i have guy friends, procrastination tactics, not being a fat ass, going to Prague.

Converted Polaroids and Forgotten Lyrics

Hello Bloggers! These are some pictures that i took in polaroid and edited. Today i was in Senior Hall working on my piano skills and i started writing a song about my late grandfather and the lyrics were making me cry. Unfortunately it was so impromptu that i have forgotten the words. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the photos.
